HEIDI MARY PORTER - CHILDMINDING INFORMATION
I charge £50 per child, per day.
I work 4 full days per week, with Wednesdays being my day off.
I do not work on any of the bank holidays.
As standard, I operate a minimum of one months paid notice period.
I require children to attend a minimum of 2 full days per week, owing to the fact that anything less simply means that they do not settle very well.
I am happy to pick-up any existing children I already have from the Langley Vale pre-school at 12pm, & continue to care for them during the afternoon - but I do not provide any primary school morning runs or after school care.
I am less keen to take on part-time children who also attend any other childcare settings, eg private day nurseries, simply because from experience I find that attending multiple settings on different days during the week is just too much of a change of routine for very young children to cope with.
I accept all childcare vouchers - but I do not operate the 15 hours free funding government run scheme, so apologies in advance.
I do not work on weekends or provide holiday cover for primary school age children, because at 5 years of age they are just too old for my setting.
I do not require a deposit or any fee payments in advance.....you are trusting me with your child and as any relationship is built on trust I am confident that I can trust you to pay me in full at the end of every month.
I usually take 4 weeks unpaid holiday during the school holidays each year.
These are usually February half term, a week at Easter, a week in August and finally October half term. I am also off for the Christmas week.
Sometimes though, I do need to take extra days off when my children (or pets) need medical treatment or to attend hospital/dental appointments etc.....I will always aim to give you as much notice as I can during these times - and of course, if I ever need any time off for funerals and/or any other compassionate leave I will also take that as unpaid leave.
All of my holidays are taken as unpaid as I appreciate that you need to take time off from work yourselves / or find and pay for alternative childcare.
Apart from the odd occasional day here and there, I have only taken one whole complete weeks sick leave once in my whole professional career ( a week in 2017 when I was in hospital with pneumonia ) but again, if I am ever sick I will give you as much notice as possible & also take that as unpaid.
If your child is sick or on holiday I do still require payment in full owing to the fact that I am available to work and am keeping the space open for them.
I am more than happy to work extra days if I have the space, and I can also swap days as well - and am very flexible with start and finish times.
I never charge lateness fees as I completely appreciate unforeseen circumstances do sometimes occur unexpectedly without prior warning.
I ask that parents provide pre-cooked food for their children’s mealtimes that I can then heat and serve, as well as baby milk formula - along with a spare change of clothes, just in case anything turns messy.....
I pretty much have everything else covered my end.
I provide nappies, wipes, bibs, bedsheets, spoons and bowls etc.
Due to hygiene reasons, I do not potty train any children - instead, I ask that parents take a minimum of one full week off from their work to concentrate their own full attention (and offer their own personal parental support and guidance) onto their child during this big transition in their child’s early years development…..and then return them back to me once they have grasped the basics…..
I keep mum fully updated during the day with photos and messages.
Phase-in sessions are done gradually so that the children have adequate time to settle into their new routine at my house.
I am more than happy to follow your child’s routine as much as possible so as not to confuse them unnecessarily.
Any questions or queries?.....please just ask. Xx ❤️💚
